Intellifive - THE DOMINO EFFECT
The domino effect is a chain reaction that occurs when a small change causes a similar change nearby, which then will cause another similar change, and so on in linear sequence. This effect is an analogy to the row of dominoes, if you hit one, all will fall down one by one. Apart from having significant usage in Mathematics, Physics and economics, the domino effect also has an important usage in environment. Take food chain for example-if a specie dies, the species depending on it will die and so on.
Debate - When it comes to conservation of endangered birds, should it be pursued no matter what the cost or practicalities?
When it comes to conservation of endangered birds, should it be pursued no matter what the cost or practicalities? Debate - Corporate profits and employment or ecosystem?

It also affects the livelihood of tribals living in those areas and displaces their whole community. Recent projects such as the bauxite mining project of Vedanta Resources in India have come under the scanner, while UK and Norway governments and many reputable NGOs have criticised the project. This whole issue was also the central theme of the Hollywood blockbuster Avatar. Are corporate profits and employment ahead of ecosystem in priority?
